Director of Tax and Accounting
We are looking for a Director of Tax and Accounting to work with the Firm’s Chief Operating Officer on all tax and accounting functions. This is a new role we’re creating because of the Firm’s growth.
The Director of Tax and Accounting will be responsible for:
- Managing the tax compliance for all private trading funds, GP and management company entities, and the partners of the Firm
- Coordinating with external tax advisors to ensure timely issuance and filing of K-1s, 1099s,1042s, tax returns and other tax documents
- Maintaining all books and records and overseeing the monthly closing process of the general-partner and management-company entities
- Maintaining shadow tax books for the funds managed by the Firm
- Planning, overseeing, and executing the Firm’s strategic tax initiatives
- Preparing responses to ad hoc investor requests
- Working with the operations team members on process enhancements
- Conducting periodic reviews of fund documents

We will consider candidates with the following qualifications, skillsets, and experience:
- Finance, accounting or related business degree or equivalent work experience, and a CPA qualification
- 7-15 years of experience with investment partnership tax at a public accounting firm (Big Four or mid-sized firms),investment partnership, or family office
- Experience with international equity and derivatives (total return swaps and credit default swaps)
- Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel), Bloomberg, and QuickBooks
